30 Years of Business – The Journey
As I start to reflect on being an entrepreneur and being in business for 30 years, there are a few things that stand out immediately. First and foremost is gratitude for all our clients through the years. We have always served the greater Colorado Springs area dipping our toes further south as well as north to Parker and Castle Rock, but our true roots are in the Monument Tri lakes region. I want to give a special thank you to our community for embracing us, recognizing us as the experts in the field, and awarding us with too many landscaping projects to count… and many more to come.
With 30 years comes many lows and many highs, good economies and bad and somehow, our landscaping company always found a way to survive. Much of that success goes to our great team, and as employees come and go it would be impossible to accomplish the successes without all of them. Culture has been a big deal and something I have tried to foster from day one, even before I knew what “culture” was. So, a big shout out and thank you to all!
Wow, 30 years ago starting out doing sprinkler system repairs and installations I never imagined the journey would lead here, a full-service landscaping company. For the first five or so years all we did was irrigation, then one day I received an invitation to a “how to build a pond” workshop and I immediately had a new passion and direction for our business. Now providing irrigation and water features, the natural progression was to also install general landscaping. By year 15 we were a full-service design build firm and for the past 15 years I have been extremely fortunate to be creating amazing, custom outdoor living areas that include features such as fire pits, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, all kinds of water features, paver patios, pergolas, and the list goes on. What it all comes down to is, I really love providing a place where families can come together in their own backyard and relax, enjoy, and unwind a bit.
